About this app

BimmerCode allows you to code the control units in your BMW or MINI to unlock hidden features and customize your car to your liking.

I only downloaded this app because online it said that you can use the kiwi 3 Bluetooth dongle. there is no listing for kiwi 3 in the list of approved adapters on the app it looks as though it's been removed or something. I was going to buy the pro version I am so glad that I checked first. there's no way I'm going to buy this and I can't use the kiwi 3.

Dear Ronald, this OBD adapter has never been supported for the Android version of the app. Please check compatibility on our website: https://bimmercode.app

Works absolutely flawlessly on my 2011 Mini R56 with the CX Bluetooth OBD adapter. I was skeptical, but what I love is that is the default mode translates everything into English and has most of the standard function controls I wanted to modify (Comfort access and hot & cold bulb checking). In addition to being super easy to use, it also has access to the full set of configurable options, provided you speak German or have the translation handy for every conceivable setting you might want to ever change. It doesn't appear to have any functionality for VO modification, so you can't use it to enable a retro-fitted alarm, for example, but this is absolutely wroth the money for the full version (one time fee, not a subscription) and saved me days of trying to figure out NCS Expert. Thanks!

Be careful! Things can go wrong, even when you do everything as instructed. Unfortunately, you may not know until you start the car again. Luckily, it seems that sometimes the connection between the car and the dongle and your phone may not always be ideal and can cause issues in coding your car correctly, but can be corrected with a restore. If all else fails, remove the dongle, delete the dongle from your phone, then repeat everything fresh to get a solid connection.
