I've been using Blokada 5 for a couple years now and have always been happy with it. I was very excited when I saw version 6 and was quick to install. I was surprised to find out it is now a paid subscription service but went ahead and activated the subscription. After setting it up I opened a game I always play in which ads are successful blocked by V5. Boom! Here comes the ads. Opened a buggy wedsite, more ads. I promptly went back to V5. Can't pay money for less protection. V6 needs work!

I really wanted to love this app, and have used the paid version for a couple of years and multiple devices. However it just seems to be unreliable, buggy and problematic. At random times it blocks all internet traffic, and regularly blocks and breaks websites I want to see and that had worked previously. I'm guessing updates to block lists or the program are the fault. It also slows traffic Way down. The developers tend to be responsive about helping with problems.

Don't get me wrong, the app worked fine before. It blocked ads on most sites (youtube being an exception). The issue is that now we're being forced to pay a subscription for something that has been free for a long time. The version that I have installed from before (the one that doesn't require a subscription) doesn't even block ads on Crunchyroll anymore, so I now have to find another ad blocker to use.

Dear User, thank's for your comments and feedback. Blokada 6 uses a cloud server to block ads, which comes with no battery usage, no noticeable effect on device speed and network speed. Sadly, in order to maintain the service, we need to pay the cloud server cost. We would like to invite you to use Blokada 5 from our website, it's completely free
