This app has been great for my husband and me. It's simple, it's fast, and it's free (at least everything you really need is free). The only thing is the debt section really didn't feel user-friendly and I ended up just putting my credit card & car min payments in as monthly bills to avoid frustration. I also think making a budget for the next month could be easier if it completely deleted whatever draft you have for that month before copying everything from the previous month w/o transaction.

My wife and I have used the premium version of this app for a few years. It is fairly useful. Our main issue with it is that we spend a ton of time having to delete duplicates. On one login, it might say we have 30 transactions to budget, but in reality, there are only 20 we actually completed. For example, a bunch of transactions will be like:"Wal Mart $45.70", and it'll show that 2 times. We end up spending a lot of time just deleting the duplicates, which makes us not want to open the app.

Often fails to connect on VPN, and no lifetime option for premium features. Updates have been disruptive in the past and sometimes result in lower performance. Switched to YNAB, which is cheaper, has similar functionality, and actually tracks account balances rather than only cashflows. Everydollar needs to get with the times. Edit: I didn't mention anything about autocategorization and don't use that feature. I mentioned account balances (i.e. the value of my checking/savings/etc. accounts).

Thanks for the feedback! EveryDollar is designed for creating a plan before the month begins and tracking spending throughout it. We hope it's easy and fun, but we believe there should be still be agency in knowing where money is going which is why EveryDollar does not offer auto-categorization.
